Caring for our Neighbors and our Community

We are committed to feeding and caring for our neighbors in a physical and spiritual way so they can be healed and become better citizens of our great city and nation.

What We Do

For over 10 years, Mercy for My Neighbor has been committed to sharing love, by providing those in need with food, clothing, and other essential goods. Revealing Christ’s mercy has helped restore lives, assist families, and build a better and healthier community.

Sharing Christ’s mercy and love with our neighbors has transformed many and created a chain reaction in the community. It is our mission to spread God’s grace further, into five locations across five states, starting with Hudson County, New Jersey.  Help us make this change!

“Having Mercy on Others Can Change Our Society”

Our Mercy Programs

Daily Feeding

We cook and distribute 100 meals daily to Journal Square, Hoboken Terminal, and areas in Greenville.

Free Grocery Distribution

We distribute groceries twice a week to people in need and low-income families.

Clothes and Coats distribution

Brand new clothes are given to the homeless and those in need.

Holidays

1,200 meals are distributed on Thanksgiving Day and over 100 care packages are delivered.

We can be God’s hands to build a future where there was none and embrace those who feel abandoned. If God ordains our steps to a specific need, we will not hesitate to go where he sends us to accomplish the task he has called us to do.

Pastor Hilario Crispin – Founder

“Turning stones into bread” is a book written by our beloved Pastor Hilario Crispin, where he tells his life story (the difficulties he faced while growing up and how he sold stones to buy food and survive). During that time of extreme necessity, God inspired Hilario and placed a dream in his heart: to give back, feed the homeless and provide clothing and resources to people in need.

Today, more than 100 meals and non-perishable items are distributed daily each week in the Hudson County area. Thanks to all the contributions we received through our donors and the services offered by our volunteers, we were able to this turn dream into a reality.

We sincerely believe that this project is transforming the lives of many people. Our goal is not only to make a material impact on their lives but also to bring a holistic change (body, soul, and spirit). That is why we strive to make sure the neediest people in our community are being cared for and valued by helping them overcome life’s hardships.
